Development of a Solar Panel Load Monitoring System with ESP8266 WiFi and SIM800L GSM Connectivity

Project information

  • Category: Embedded, IoT
  • Completion: February 2024 - March 2024

This project focuses on the creation of a solar panel load monitoring system equipped with ESP8266 WiFi and SIM800L GSM modules for remote monitoring and data transmission. The system integrates sensors for measuring voltage, current, and load, capable of handling up to 30A of electrical load. The ESP8266 module enables wireless connectivity to local WiFi networks, allowing users to access real-time monitoring data through web interfaces or mobile applications. Additionally, the SIM800L module provides GSM connectivity for remote monitoring in areas without WiFi coverage, ensuring continuous data transmission and monitoring capabilities. By combining these technologies, the project aims to offer a versatile and robust solution for monitoring solar panel performance, load management, and energy usage in both local and remote environments, contributing to sustainable energy management practices.
